  Streetscape Project along Chippewa Street Could Help Overturn Slow Business Photography by Sydney Perkins  Chippewa, Franklin and Court street are undergoing a project worth a predicted $ 8 million to help make downtown Buffalo more attractive and vibrant. With hopes of appealing to  younger, working people looking for residency in the area.  This streetscape project will also help to jumpstart a lot of other initiatives set by city officials that have started this year. Buffalo Urban Development Corporation and Buffalo Place are the agencies helping put this project together. Buffalo Urban Development Corporation is a development agency that reclaims  distressed land and abandoned buildings for future expansion.Buffalo Place is known for owning and reviving a 24 block business improvement district in Downtown Buffalo. I want my postcard and logos to represent, how bold yet simple I am. I wanted to make sure my name is bold in every design because, even if someone doesn't read the card, they can at least see my name. I also wanted the backgrounds of the postcards to be either light blue or lavender because I didn't want to drown out the wording with a obnoxious background color. Although all the designs showcase my name the logos are pretty much representing the love I have for dancing. In the second M logo it has a woman lifting her arms in the corner. The third logo is supposed to kind of play off as a pirouette. While I wanted the first logo to remain as simple as my initials, but as strong and bold letters.

Society today shows us daily that their is a lack of respect for black women and that their feelings are neglected. Also that they are America’s scapegoat for so much when they’ve been forced to bury the burden of so much pain. Black women have endured years of mental and physical abuse from not only America but from the black man and still, are pressured to love and nurture them unconditionally. In the words of Malcolm X “the most disrespected person in America is the black women. The most unprotected person in America is the black woman. The most neglected person in America is the black woman.” Black women and even black men about the daily pressures put on black women. Younger black women today have a terrible insight on how they view the world and how they think women are supposed to be treated.   These are thumbnails for potential resume outlines. I chose these thumbnails because they do not crowd the page with a bunch of information. Clearly in each sketch I wanted my experience, education, skills, and information highlighted. I wanted those to be the main points showcased on my resume, mainly because that's all you need on it. I would use all of these designs because they aren't overlooking each other. Each design allows for different creativity, although they'll have the same information, the way the page looks would be different from what people usually see.

 As a student just entering college it isn’t impossible to turn your visual communication into verbal, audio or written forms of communication. Comprehension has been a part of everyone’s school curriculum forever because it is important that you truly understand . You usually have to put it into your own words or should be able to explain it to someone else. Verbal communication is hands down the easiest and most effective way to communicate. That is because it is more direct! When someone is explaining something to you, there are many factors that show them that you might need more help understanding. Also verbal communication allows you to ask questions which is key to truly comprehending everything you don’t get. When you’re learning math, another language or getting directions, you will always want to ask questions.
